Ljubavna melodrama zasnovana je na dvostrukom trouglu – jednom ljubavno-strejt i jednom ljubavno-lezbejskom. U prvom trouglu postoji strejt odnos u čijem se u vrhu nalazi napaljeni tinejdžer, dok je u drugom, homo trouglu, protagonistkinja ta koja zauzima vrh trougla. U zajedničkim temenima ta dva trougla sa jedne strane nalazi se njen sidekick, koji nosi prijateljski odnos, a sa druge antagonistkinja, koja je uključena u ljubavni lezbejski odnos.

Ishod i prevaga između strejt i homo odnosa zavisi od trenutnog biseksualnog opredeljenja antagonistkinje, što unosi dodatnu složenost u narativ.

Pored ove zanimljive dinamike među likovima i načina na koji oni posredno ili neposredno utiču jedni na druge, film se bavi i tinejdžerskim problemima poput kompleksa, površnih i neiskrenih odnosa, nesigurnosti i traženja identiteta.

A romantic melodrama is based on a double triangle – one straight and one lesbian. In the first triangle, there is a heterosexual relationship with a lustful teenage boy at its apex, while in the second, homosexual triangle, the protagonist occupies at its apex. At the shared vertices of the two triangles, on one side is her sidekick, who represents a friendly bond, and on the other is the antagonist, who is involved in the lesbian love affair.

The outcome and balance between the straight and the homosexual relationship depend on the antagonist’s current bisexual inclination, which adds further complexity to the narrative.

Alongside this intriguing dynamic among the characters and the ways in which they influence each other directly or indirectly, the film also explores typical teenage issues such as insecurities, complexes, shallow and insincere relationships, and the search for identity.

All in all, it is an emotional and meaningful film.
