Ovde imamo 2in1 film – do polovine pratimo tinejdžersku ljubavno-kriminalističku dramu, dok u drugoj polovini gledamo ljubavno-kriminalističku dramu kasnih adolescenata.
Međutim, početni in media res zapravo predstavlja prelomnu tačku (raskrsnicu) u kojoj film dobija drugačiji završetak, jer junak donosi drugačiju odluku na kraju. Drugim rečima, imamo in media res obrt i narativ sa dva kraja.
Film je dinamičan, sadrži muzičke sekvence, akcione scene, ljubavne zaplete i zanimljiva rediteljska rešenja… za svakoga ponešto, a ponajviše za svakog Adèle Exarchopoulos.
PS. Mali hint za sladokušce: obratite pažnju na sunce i izvore svetlosti u trećem činu u odnosu na prvi. Ko skapira, neka se javi.
This is a film for fans of 2-in-1 coffee sachets and good film structure.
The other day, I told someone that if you want a good love story or a social film with a neighborhood uprising theme, you give it to the French. This film proves that point.
Here we have a 2-in-1 film – in the first half, we follow a teenage love-crime drama, while the second half unfolds as a love-crime drama of late adolescents. The two parts are connected by the same characters at different ages, as well as certain shared narrative and visual-graphic elements that appear in both segments.
What makes the film especially interesting is that it begins in media res – we see the protagonist’s fate at the end. However, the initial in media res actually represents a turning point (crossroads) where the film takes a different ending from the one shown at the beginning, since the protagonist makes a different decision at the breaking point. In other words, we have an in media res twist and a narrative with two endings.
The film is dynamic, featuring musical sequences, action scenes, romantic twists, and interesting directorial solutions… something for everyone, but most of all for every Adèle Exarchopoulos fan.
P.S. A small hint for connoisseurs: pay attention to the sun and light sources in the third act compared to the first. Whoever figures it out – let me know.
